When I saw the interior I thought it looked nice...until I saw the gear shift lever. Wow, that thing is bigger than the one in my Camry, and that’s saying something. I thought it was a manual transmission at first glance (from a non-US model perhaps). Are we not past the era of overtly phallic and space-consuming

Black alloy wheel wraps. There is just something attractive about a car, any car, with black wheels, even when you can’t get them OEM from the factory.

My 1995 Dodge Neon Sport. So, here’s a story to bizarre to be made up. There was something awry with the ignition lock cylinder (in a 90's era Chrysler product...whaaaat?) where I could insert the key, turn the car on and off, but the key refused to be removed. After having the dealership replace the ignition cylinder

My mom taught me how to drive a stick...in her blue on blue leather 2001 Honda S2000. Needless to say, my Civic 5-speed I got as my first car wasn’t quite as fun.

5th gear: The only positive I can see about features being locked behind a paywall is when buying one of these cars used. 2007 electric car start-up Better Place. It had the great idea of using a battery-swapping system that would allow drivers to exchange their dead batteries for new ones in a fraction of the time it takes to recharge and alleviating range anxiety. Sounds like an idea ahead of its time as the infrastructure was simply

I don’t entirely disagree that it isn’t “gambling” per se in the sense that there is no chance of monetary gain to be had from the transaction.  I feel like it’s similar to the “blind packaging” that you find in almost every toy these days.  Why does my daughter keep asking for LOL Surprise dolls for her birthday?

I really enjoy Everyday Driver on Prime. It’s like old Top Gear boiled down to the essentials of comparing two (or more) cars that are within reasonable buying range for most people, be it sports cars, minivans/SUVs, or just boring midsize sedans. I wish there were more shows like this one...
