I had an iPhone 3G with iOS 4 for only a few days before my new phone came, but I noticed a fairly significant difference when I put most of my apps in folders. I went from something like 8 or 9 pages to 3 and it seemed to speed things up.

I'm seeing this as well. Every night between 1 AM and 3 AM my phone "sends" a ton of...something.

@Sidetalker: I would enjoy it if it was mainly used to create your own apps, for use on your own phone. If every asshole with an iPhone starts making bad apps and putting them in the store, however, then we'll have a problem.
