I watched a preview. The game does not appeal to me in the least. I guess I am getting to the point where I don’t really enjoy mindless carnage, and find the casual brutality distasteful. That sounds extremely judgmental when read back, but I’m just talking about my own tastes.

I mean...it’s Far Cry. Knowing nothing about 6, I’m assuming that Giancarlo’s character is at the center of a complex sociopolitical powder keg that the game will refuse to address in any satisfying narrative way.

Hmm...not too sure how I feel about this article honestly. It feels kinda...tacky? I don’t know. If I want a score for a game, I’m gonna go to IGN or GameSpot, if I want to know anything deeper than that, I’m going to come here to Kotaku where I know you guys will be looking at things in a very different light than

There’s few things I dislike more than metacriticism on other folks’ criticism,. It’s self-indulgent, preachy, petty and often incredibly hypocritical. Particularly when it comes from Kotaku, a website which couldn’t resist the clickbait that is Cyberpunk 2077 to prop up its (poor) review of The Ascent and indulged in

What casting choices are red flags?

Well, it seemed like Kotaku was loading up on the rage-bait with the editor change, but this article clinched it for me. I can’t read this site anymore. I mean, I’m a literature nerd who is very interested to see if the game lives up to its promised themes, but for god’s sake, it was a gameplay-oriented preview! Of

*Mouths the phrase “Fuck ubisoft”*

Pretty bold to call out other publications and try to tell them how to do their job. It takes you 350 words to get to what I suspect is the reason for this – that during preview phases the press is sometimes only shown part of the game so it’s hard for them to tell at this stage how the narrative will go. Can’t help

Look, you might be just fine licking boots in your industry, and more power to you. The rest of us understand that “everyone does it this way” is not an excuse for anyone doing it this way. “It’s bad everywhere, so we should just give up trying to make it better anywhere,” is a cowardly, lazy outlook.

All other things being equal (voltage, etc), the reduction in available surface area on the heat sink would result in higher temps internally since heat is “soaking” into the hardware and not being expelled as efficiently. Imagine you’re in a car with the windows down and the fan on (no A/C). You have all four windows

This is addressed in the article, though not with any particular science.

Meh. I played about an hour of saints row 4. It was too stupid to hold my attention. “Lol random” can carry a joke from time to time, but it can’t carry a game for hours on end. Reeling it in a bit for the next game is a good idea

Yeah, this article seems to want Saints Row to just keep getting bigger from Iv and like... how? Bigger dildo bats? Rockets shoved up your ass so you can fly? Literally beating up hookers with the corpses of other hookers? What do you possibly want?

I dig the tone I’m seeing in this. I love Saints Row 3 and 4 to

I’m excited for them to make the game less over the top silly. I couldn’t even finish 4 because it just got too stupid too quick and having super powers invalidated the rest of the gameplay. If I drove a vehicle it was because I felt like it and it was always noticeably worse. I’d love for them to return to being a GTA

Is it just me, or do the soles look thicker than your every day out and about sneakers? Other than that, they look pretty good.

wow just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse for bli- wait nevermind

I know that when I want to experience The Great Outdoors, I want to do it somewhere with the population density of Disneyland.

You’re having fun! They’re having fun! THIS GAME IS FUN AND YOU LIKE IT WOOOO!

I mean I recognize all those names, but couldn’t tell you who any of the Fire Emblem characters are, so yeah?

Gave the beta a shot today, and by far this is the least offensive thing in it. I wish someone would receive help for the inclusion of the cynical and empty XTREME ATTITUDE in every piece of spoken dialogue though. It’s dated, obnoxious, and insincere.
