Even dialogue or text based games still require some sort of user input.....so yeah even in those i'd want to know what it is I am getting into. Not really an unrealistic expectation.

In all fairness there is just a lot less video game news in general these days. Most companies are still trying to navigate the current state of affairs. 

My real life friends also don’t play those types of games and the last couple times I tried to through communities such as Destiny 2/ Division 2 I was both called a faggot and that someone was going to rape my mom. No I’m good dude. I’ll stick to wanting my games to be single player.

Naw I hate having to play with people. My experience is that the majority of people I encounter online are garbage humans whose sole purpose in life is to grief other people. I basically only play single player games so if Halo turns into a games as a service I'll be skipping this one.

Yeah it's really bad. I count 22 ads on this article alone. It is legitimately every second paragraph and quite literally there are so many ads that my phone can't even handle loading all them. Just a blank space with the words "advertisement" lol.
