It's always amazing to watch Duane Allman work his magic! It's hard to believe he accomplished so much, first as a studio musician and then with The Allman Brothers Band, and he did it all by the time he was 24, the age of his death.

Yeah, I think it kind of gets forgotten because of world war two, but I’ve been trying to educate myself a bit more about it lately. It’s really depressing.

I got a chance to see him live the year before he died. It was the best time I’ve ever had at a show. When he performed Pieces of a Man, I damn near cried.
