I recently got into PC gaming and was ravenously eating up pirated games for a few months. Then I read the Piracy article on tweakguides.com and realized that the reason the platform is in decay is because people are doing it to themselves. I no longer get angry at DRM, and no longer pirate PC games.

That was one of the most enjoyable reads I've had on a blog ever. I understand that you must have gone through a lot of effort to figure out how to put into words what makes a game feel smooth or just right.

That's a big overestimation. Did they forget to convert from centimeters to inches? No never mind that's too ridiculous to ever happen.

@Xeno: Oh man you just brought back some good memories. I used to watch reruns of the Simpsons everyday, which was the style at the time.

@JacK Aisher: I'm in the same situation you are. If I were going to jump into a new 2 year contract with ATT it would definitely be now.

@trs: The current resolution is better than most netbooks. 1028x768 is decent. If anything I could see an upgrade to 1280x1024 working. Any higher than that and the costs becomes too much of a problem.

I think the iPad resolution is fine as it is. The upgrades I would predict have more to do with networks it's available on. Larger storage. Lots and lots of software directly from Apple.

To me the elements that made Shadow of the Colossus special were not the open world, because there have been plenty of those over time.

When do they typically show off the OSX features being planned? I'm wondering if 10.7 will take years to surface because the focus of the company has moved so far away from desktops.

@bakura: I'm pretty sure GameTrailers.com is going to have the streams live. I think I remember them mentioning that in the podcast.

I am genuinely more excited for this game than I've been for a Madden iteration in something like ten years.

I think the article made some valid points. I didn't agree with it entirely but the last point about people feeling entitled to free entertainment I definitely agree with.
