I don't see how this is special. It's just this thing applied to other memes. The fact that kotaku has reported on it just makes it a forced meme that will be repeated everywhere and thus dramatically shortening the time in which it is funny from 1 week to less than a day.

@Eulatos: Have you seen a computer with a cell processor that's cheaper than the PS3? I haven't. In fact, the PS3's processor can't even be called consumer-level: you can't even buy cell processors on a normal consumer market except on the PS3.
