No. The difference is those gentleman communicated in person with other humans, and “kids these days” could go days without speaking words, if they wanted to, with texting and IM and the like.

There’s already talk of combining the youth leagues (Pop Warner and USA Football) in my area. Where I live enrollment didn’t drop, organizations just jumped ship to the other league.

I can confirm, I heard that rumor too. I VERIFY that the rumor exists.

The issue here is that Buzzfeed writers AREN’T journalists. They don’t have journalistic integrity because they don’t need it. They make lists, use GIFs, and basically run a Tumblr page.

I said it yesterday, but if it comes out in 2 months it was all fabricated then Buzzfeed becomes the next Gawker.

I haven’t read through all the comments so forgive me if I repeat someone else. This Buzzfeed article is the “thrive or die” move for their website. If the report ends up verified, they’re praised for years. But if it’s not, ohhhhh boy Buzzfeed becomes Gawker pt. 2. They’re really reaching for the stars here.
