I have chronic back and leg pain from ovarian cysts. Paraphrasing most Doctors- oh well cysts and fibroids are a dime a dozen, call me if you ever want to get pregnant.

I had extreme pain at 14 (like my mom stopping the car so I could throw up from the pain on the way to the hospital levels) and went to the ER about it. Once there, the doctor told me, after ordering no ultrasound or CT scan, that I was overweight and ovulating and that if I lost weight, the pain wouldn’t be so bad.…

I know we all think 30 is young but reproductive systems don’t think that way. Get checked often.  Men too.

This is what Orwellian means. They’re saying they’re helping children and saving them from child abuse; when in reality this is child abuse. 

The surgery stuff is an effort to kick up dust around the actual issue, which is hormones and puberty blockers. Nobody’s doing sex-change surgeries on kids. But including that makes it easier for credulous fools and bad-faith actors to pretend as though that’s the bulk of the effort, by design.

As a Texan born well after WW2, I feel like we are on our way to being a true fascist state and I don’t know what to do. I am afraid for my LGBTQ+ daughter and grandson, like truly, paralyzingly, deeply terrified for their physical safety and mental well-being.

The only “good” abortion ban would be to ban men, like myself, from having a fucking opinion or say in what a woman does with her body, whether that’s abortion, birth control, or anything else.

Next Abbott will be banning people in wheelchairs because they don’t benefit society by not being able to walk.

I hate this man so fucking much. Let people be happy. Goddamn it. 

Who is going to feed, clothe, educate and care for all these babies born by force? Or will more laws force the women who are forced to give birth to do so? Meanwhile, the rapid right removes, reduces or fights any sort of social service, childcare, feeding assistance program, etc etc…

Look at what the institutional Democratic response to the proliferation of these horrific bills that directly attack a key Democratic constituency. Then compare it to the institutional Republican responses to things like mask mandates (whether imposed by government or by private businesses) and Biden’s requirement…

The cruelty is the point. These fascists want dead and homeless queer kids.

Jesus, it’s like someone said the bill was awful and the legislature was like “hold my beer”. It’s hard to believe how hateful they are, and it’s bizarre that it’s happening in a state which is, if not purple, then not nearly as red as a lot of others.

Because gay kids only come from families that vote Democrat and got the vaccine. It's going to be fun when some uppity conservatives find our their children are gay. Something tells me this won't happen though.
