I grew up in Fairmont just south of Morgantown. Morgantown felt chic by comparison. I then left to live in urban centers across the country but am now back in rural Appalachia (not WV though). There are negatives, but most of the positives are overlooked.

Right now I am just trying to get them to germinate in the tray. I then move them to the Aerogarden seed starter to get a little bigger before moving them to the dutch bucket hydro setup. Those buckets are full of perlite.

Last year I had poor germination rates in the AG seedstarter, so I thought doing the tray first…

A few varieties of tomato, hot peppers, sweet peppers, eggplant, and dill. Zero germination. 

1st Gear: CFO is done working in grown-up toys and will move to children’s toys. Ought to be an easy transition. 

Tried with a light and without. The tray has a humidity dome, and my seeds are only about a year old. I am flummoxed. 

I have a hydroponic setup, so I try to germinate sans soil. I usually use rockwool in the 1020 tray on a heating pad. I’ve had no luck this year germinating anything. Very frustrating.
