Maybe I am aging out of the ‘new car’ game, but it seems like more and more things will never apply to me. I can’t imagine being in the market for a (fast, luxe) crossover that costs the same as a small ski condo.

I lived West of Denver until a year ago, and I have owned some version of the first three bikes. GS11 and 1150s feel downright agricultural, especially compared to the other two. KTM is nice, but may be a bit overkill for a new-ish rider. The Uly is the only bike I regret selling, but mine ate buell-specific stators.

I am a few months into 2009 GTI ownership. Got it from a VW tech on Demuro’s site. It has a stage 1 APR tune and is a total hoot to drive. I don’t even mind searching out 93 octane for it.

Super rad, but the looks sure go pretty hard FZR600 for being so semi-exotic.

I keep almost listing my 1999 Sportsmobile for sale. Salvage title, but everything works. I then think about immediately wanting to look for a van and talk myself right out of it.

I’ve had some I-4s but mostly prefer 2 or fewer cylinders. Sporty V-twins or mono-cylinder supermotos are my jams. This explains why the long-term residents in my garage are a TLS, a Triumph Scrambler, and a plated KTM 520. The others just don’t get ridden and then sold/traded.
