I wish Torch would write more reviews.

He’s done a lot of talking about living in NC.
Good take, and I am genuinely interested in riding one.
For me (ignoring price entirely), these suffer the same fate as the Polaris Slingshot. I think it could be fun but I definitely don’t want to be associated with the crowds that seem to own these machines.
Man, I had to scroll and scroll and scroll for an explanation of what car camping is. Glad you said it.
Car-camping, to me and all my friends that camp, is more synonymous with ‘not backpacking’. As in, camp very near your car so you can bring whatever the hell you want. I can’t understand how so many people in the commentariot here think a grown man and his son are both sleeping inside a Scion XB
Can people sleep in an XB without twisting into a pretzel?
I’d like if they would give you a semi-long term loaner. If living with Electrify America for charging is not horrible this car could be a contender.
Reads to me like an electric Toyota Venza with a BMW snout.
At least it can carry a meatball.
I tried to turn CL into a craigslist joke, but got nowhere. Sorry I missed yours!
Neutral: Where in the hell is David Tracy?
I’m in the same ‘I would never spend this much on a car’ boat, but I am still quite curious about their plan for a charging network. Every long-term non-Tesla-EV test I read bemoans the US’s patchwork of semi-functional chargers. Is Lucid aiming to compete with Tesla on this? Will their chargers be proprietary?
I’ll…
I think you and Torch sound like a perfect Odd Couple. I’d watch that show.
Also, ‘fly farting over an ice cube’ garnered my chuckle of the day.
It’s okay.
The swingarm takes away any pretense of retro, and Kawasaki can’t make this motor look good for the life of them. The motor is completely blacked out where on most other retros it is at least a partial feature. This is a great beginner size, but if you know motorcycles and still want a retro look I bet you…
4th Gear: Rad. Now I can drive 4 hours on the nightmare hellscape of I-81 (and a bit of I-64) to get to Richmond to then take a train. Driving one hour to Roanoke (a railroad town!) would have been far better.
Progress!!
Looks like the DesertX will give people something to cross-shop the Husky Norden 901 against.
Right before most of them decide what they really need is just a Yammie Tenere 700.
I was just wondering if he got in trouble for the question of the day article he wrote ... what, last week now?
Now I’m hungry.
That’s why I made the comment.
