Desalination is no cure-all. They produce a lot of briney waste. I suppose you could re-fill a few Salton Seas, but no one wants that.
I didn’t know about that author, but now plan to read those books. Thanks!
For whom would this be news? I’d say if you like this site you have definitely heard of, and maybe love, this movie.

1000% on all. I just think it would be neat to own something BMW mostly sued out of existence.
I bought a black ‘96 when I lived in LA in 2009 or so. Had 120k miles and just went and went and went. The ABS was trash, though. I think ‘97 was the final year for the big ugly square headlight that I now find charming. Are you going rid yours of the aftermarket light?

I was born poor. My bad.
I want the old TGUSA back.
I ordered when I lived a bit west of Denver. I’m interested in an electric vehicle. The autopilot, while flawed, is also interesting. I also want a truck for my next vehicle for motorcycle-hauling and snowboarding (and whatever else) duties.
Now that I live in Appalachia I also wanted it to piss off the bro-dozers with…
May as well cancel the order.
With that unexpected hundo coming my way I might just retire early. Or take a long vacation.
Time to go snag a leftover MKVII.
Oh. Wait.
