Fair. But this is the ‘Go for a nice ride without putting on all the motorcycle gear’ car for me/us. If I want to a fully-engaged experience I am on a motorcycle.
I’m pretty stoked. I’ve wanted a 911 since I was 13.

Maybe it’s a language thing, but Lingling Zeekr doesn’t strike me as being more upmarket than Volvo.
No dice. I just picked up a lapis blue 2000 cabrio (with hard top) for under $15k. It came with receipts for an engine rebuild (with IMS fix) and a new, though automatic, transmission.
All that said, seems that most people believe if you crest 100k miles the IMS is likely past its grenade point. I’d still use it as a…
Did something happen after the initial investment? I always thought that partnership fizzled.
Neutral: I was on my way to fully-remote working prior to the pandemic. I’m never going back.
Now I just need to get rid of all my business-casual attire. Replace it all with death metal t-shirts and sweatpants. And Dyneema jeans for the motorbikes.
Make it a wagon with a manual and I will...imagine buying one once they’re 8 years old.
Alta still gets great press. I wish someone would try and capitalize on that fact and bring them back to life.
Indian could sell them just to troll Harley.
Car’s lovely, and solves the primary dilemma facing supercar owners: ferrying beautiful hangers-on. I shudder at the thought of only being able to carry one model-type that laughs at all my jokes between the gulf stream and yacht at once. Two-seat supercars are for peasants.
Someone get David a raise.
I’m with you on wheel size. I think the larger, staggered wheels look so much better than the new 17 inchers. Tire choice be damned.
I sent my wife to MSF for a weekend. Zero clutch experience. Hopped in my 4Runner and drove after that class with very little learning time. She would rather still ride pillion, but it made her much more aware of motorcycles when in her car.
I think everyone should take the MSF.
Elijah McClain, of Aurora, was very recently killed for walking while black. Yours was a very tone deaf comment.
Aurora sucks. But not as bad as the Aurora cops.
That’s what I don’t get reading this whole thread. Lifelong rider, and I ride like I am invisible to every other car on the road. Knock wood, but it has worked so far.
We seem to forget to shit on the BMW/general ADV cosplayers here. I find them a bit less obnoxious but they still have a look.
I just got a 996 cabrio after moving to where we have nothing but great roads and very little traffic. I am curious to see how much I pull a bike out this season.
Filtering/lane splitting would have prevented that. Likely not possible on a touring bike, but most anything else can do it. This is a major argument for filtering.
To each their own. A Chinese-built engine QC’d by Italians thrown into a bike built by Hoosiers (I was born in Lafayette, IN. Like Axl Rose) doesn’t scream premium price to me.
I’m must not be their target market I guess. But you’d think the market a 40 year old lifelong motorbike dude in a DINK household is in would…
Nebraska is still a better drive than Kansas, as sad as that is.
Indiana craftsmanship? Like the dodge truck transmissions built in Kokomo, IN? Truck country, but weirdly no one drives Rams.
