You’re being deliberately obtuse. It’s apparent that the quote is comparing the ways that men and women relate to each other, not that any man a woman meets is going to kill her. When guys go on first dates, their friends don’t tell them to text when they’re home safe, or advise that they go to a public place.

Aw, shit yeah, bro! Not all men! You’re so brave!

Women do kill men, but they don’t kill men over sexual rejection so repeatedly that it’s a widespread problem. And while we know that most men aren’t that evil...sometimes you don’t know until it’s too late (or you do know, think you’ve gotten rid of the guy, and then he kills you anyway). And so we proceed with

Of course most men can handle rejection. I would guess that the percentage who kill after being rejected is miniscule.

Don’t forget to dismiss all the #NotAllMen morons who will inevitably reply to you.

It’s really simple buddy. Women are murdered by men for “rejecting them” vastly more often than men are murdered by women for “rejecting them”.

During his confession, O’Kroley told the police “it was easy to kill” Nosal because “she had ruined my life.”

“WHY AREN’T THEY REACTING THE EXACT WAY I WOULD REACT?”

You know what, cancer sucks. If a video game can help someone get through or mend, that’s great. People who are “uncomfortable” with the subject matter should consider themselves fortunate to be able to take that position. Let me tell you, cancer isn’t fun.

I feel bad for people who think like this. I genuinely don’t understand how this point is reached. It’s like typing 5+10 on a calculator and deciding it says 57 instead of 15. It doesn’t add up.

Exactly. This drives me up the wall. “Oh no someone made a game about feelings. Oh great another ‘walking simulator’.”

That some people actually believe that a family can watch their child wither and die over the course of years and then be so cold as to make a game of it as nothing more than a money-making scheme is pretty sad.

Fuck those people. Sometimes I really hate parts of the gaming community. Earlier today I found out some people are against Fallout 4 because the Railroad faction is too SJW-ish, and now this. Sigh.

People like that are the worst - it’s bad enough that you’re going through a tough time, but if you end up doing so publicly then there’s always a chance that someone is going to come after you for not grieving “enough” or “the right way”.

I’m not sure if Joel’s parents are Christians, but if they are, it makes perfect sense that they would be “joyful” of their son’s death. That doesn’t mean they are “happy” that he died, but it simply means they believe their son is now in heaven. I have been to many Christian funerals, and they all are far more joyful

No one can tell you how to mourn or memorialize those you have lost. That defeats the point of personal grieving. If we all handled it the same way then it wouldn’t be genuine.

Is the idea that artists often create art that reflects personal struggles that foreign to gamers? By their logic, a huge chunk of memoirs and nonfiction are inappropriate.

So anyone who writes books or shares their experience in any medium is just cashing in on a tragedy? Just because you assholes don’t like the religious aspect doesn’t mean you need to trash them. It made them feel better, it makes other people feel better and relate, why is that not enough for people?

Unfortunately, it’s not surprising these people exist. I spent a good deal of time traveling before, during and after college, and I’ll never forget what this Dutch coffee shop owner told me: “Please ignore them and don’t think badly of [the Dutch people]. No matter where you go, there are assholes everywhere.”

I feel like this is the modern version of guys standing on a corner, looking tough and making comments to people as they walk by, hoping somebody starts a fight with them.

Except now everybody can be the tough guy, and they don’t have to worry about getting their ass turned inside out.
