Wow! You would have figured they would’ve replaced them a couple of coup d’état’s ago.

I get it. I understand. It’s just too easy. But it sure would be something to one day see pigs flying, hell freezing over, Honda’s F1 engines becoming competitive and seeing Alanis pen her very first positive Honda F1 piece.

They better get to cleaning that up quick before Clark County gets served by Monsanto’s lawyers for ‘unlawful use of Monsanto’s proprietary Roundup Ready herbicide tolerant technologies.’

Let me know if you find a pic or link but I’ve never heard of that brand.

During the late 80's, when my close friends and I started getting driver’s licenses, we pretty much purchased used barges for our first cars. A 70 Imperial, a couple of early 70's New Yorkers, all with 440s, and a ‘69 Olds Vista Cruiser with a 400. I was the one with the gas sipping economy car. A ‘79 Caprice with a

Amen to that! Peter’s articles are some of the best on Jalopnik.

like the Fonze calling his lady friend Susan over”.

That’s kind of strange. Ace エース is simply e-su (E like Eddie). No other way to pronounce it in Japanese and ace is a fairly simple and common English loan word in the Japanese vocabulary. There’s no チイ or chee in there.

Yeah, a guy who aspires to look like Tony Montana in an oversized Goodwill outfit who has the mannerism of Jackie Mason after his first time snorting Adderall is not someone I’d recommend you buy anything from.

“....but I’m guessing it happened when the officer lifted the wiper to place the ticket...”

In areas where rust isn’t an issue, you’ll see one quite often.

Yup, and it still blends right in with the rest of traffic and doesn’t look at all like a car designed over a quarter century ago. Same goes for the Legend as well.

I think the bigger issue is the cost of liability insurance for such a car registered within the 5 boroughs. Wait a second... That would only matter to people who actually have coverage. Duh. I guess I just wasted everybody’s time for reading this.

The guy filming was moonwalking.

That reminds me of when I lived in Japan. My father had bought a Honda Monkey 50 c.c. bike for me when I was about 9-10, which I got to ride once. I didn’t hurt myself or anything but I really had nowhere to ride it while living in Tokyo so my father eventually sold it and it morphed into a Victor (Japanese market

Those classic Tamiya RC buggies are exactly what I was reminded of as well when I saw the pics above. The Funco bumpered buggy looks exactly like the Rough Rider. I still have most of my childhood Tamiya cars in boxes somewhere. Lotus 79 F1, Rough Rider, The Frog, Rothmans Porsche 956 and the Hotshot.

Oh yeah, I remember that brochure. Wow, what a trip down memory lane. I am certain I still have that very brochure in storage somewhere. I had kept years of car brochures I picked up from dealers and car shows during the late 80's and early 90's but I threw most of them out during a cross country move over ten years

I’m not trying to defend Kobe Steel but did they release by how much they doctored their numbers by? Since they announced the news a while back, I just kind of presumed that it can’t be too far off from spec. Could it? There’s no excusing what they did but it couldn’t have gone from, say, Snap On quality metal to

Great piece for a great man Stef. Thank you.

I would imagine we are going to see some big leaps in the overall performance of Hyundai/KIA products compared to the past as we’re starting to see the cars that are blessed with R&D lead by Albert Biermann (ex chief engineer of BMW’s M division).
