“and the best costume award goes to....”

I wish he would stop saying “we have the best fans out here” at every race venue. I know he’s being nice but its become almost as trite as his frequent podium finishes.

Took the picture last week after a wash. It’s the factory snap/bolt on kit so it’s OE sturdy. Rocker panels are just replacements of the original and slides and snaps in place, front slips over the lower bumper and the rear just attaches to the lower bumper.

Hey, don’t knock my bolt on body kit. I paid good money for that over 16 years ago.

I often say to myself that the 2nd Gen TL’s seem to be aging well.

Oh you weren’t wrong. I know you were writing to a general audience. I was just busting your chops. Speaking of Beetles, have you read this yet?

Ahhh, some historic shots as well. Probably the very last time we’ll see the “Torpedo” in a F1 car.

That sucks! I hope she gets her car back quickly. Fu(*&ing thieves! The hell with all of them!

A lot of you guys seem to simply rag on it and although none of us have ridden it yet, you might have a point here and there. It might not be a bike for many of us but when I see oddities like this, I appreciate the fact that someone is going through the trouble of making it and offering it for sale to the public.

The hazard light switch on the steering wheel is a cool feature since they turn it on and off each time they pick up and drop passengers.

Oh no. I’m afraid of the pathetic horror they’re going to come up with here. There’s no place in this world for no boy band talent looking Magnum. Nope.

Peter, as always, love your work man. Great write up! I really enjoyed reading it. Your starting a very cool golden era of Japanese motoring collection going there. What do you think will be your next project? Perhaps a two door second gen 4Runner?

“.....crashed into a concrete barrier in a construction zone.....”

Looks like a shortened Mercedes W201 (190E) with a Mk 3 Golf grill judging by this picture.

Haha, I didn’t see your greyed comment until I posted the video. Funny how often many of us are reminded of the same things.

Now playing

Sounds like the right engine noise a Russian dirt bike would probably make.

Boy, wasn’t that exciting/S. A battle between mismatched construction equipment.

Ahhh, the decapitator interceptor. I was waiting for it to show up in our not so distant dystopian future.

Oh my goodness, it’s the ‘84 Cafe Latte Cabrio edition.

Looks like the lead designer of the Type-R drank a bit too much with his gun-safe maker friend and decided to mod a FJ Cruiser together.
