I’ll preface this by saying I wasn’t a Bernie supporter. But your qualification of “and expect treatment and support equal to someone who has been an active member for decades” is a little misleading.

Oh look, someone who can’t think on the level of individual policy and clings to party cronyism. If Democrat vs. Republican is all that American politics are to you, you are part of the problem that has led to this disaster we face today.

You literally think being loyal to the Democratic party is more important in a candidate than their policies and actions?

Oh there’s plenty of blame to go around. Some of it is on the DNC, some of it is on Hillary, but plenty of it goes out to people who felt their loyalty to Bernie outweighed the needs of women and PoC.

He said that his Islamic faith and his commitment to justice are intertwined, and he would not be a good Muslim if he turned a blind eye to the injustices the black community faces on a daily basis.

If you actually think what this person did was “good” or “right” you need to go sit alone for 20 years until you figure out why it is anything but. We all know BLM is not what it is advertised as. We all know Mike Brown was not a “gentle giant” and Travvon Martin was not an innocent little kid. They are dead

Bernie was FOR women and people of color, more so than Hillary! Hillary was over the top rude to the BLM protesters during her campaign.

Your other option would have been for Bernie to run as a third party and he would have sucked even MORE votes from Hillary than you Hillaryites think he did when he sat out.

As an Independent, your comment is pretty much everything wrong with Democrats right now. But hey, keep it up. It’s totally working.

The fact that Sanders, a guy who never claimed to be a Democrat, came in and almost got the nomination tells you a lot about what a lousy candidate Hillary was.

Of course it made you smile, you’re a racist bigot.

This feels really icky and exploitative regardless of his other work. Sorry. And, there is really no way to tell if it was this or something else on the application that got him accepted, and it’s many times more likely that it was something else.

Neither did whoever came up with that ridiculous, misleading headline. Considering everything else this young man has done, I seriously doubt writing #BlackLivesMatter 100 times is what got him into Stanford. But hey, it did get him the kind of attention any activist would want.

“Anne Hathaway was under no obligation to talk to me—in fact, given her feelings about Jezebel, she had good reason not to”

Because it’s the correct legal ruling. Just because you don’t agree with it or understand it doesn’t make the judge wrong. Try not to get your legal advice from a former Gawker site, they don’t understand the law very well. If they did then Nick Denton wouldn’t be living under a bridge. Seems they’re more interested

How is this an outrage? Shit I remember not being able to discuss the Hillsborough disaster on social media for about 2 years while the inquest was going on, even though everyone with half a brain knew what the outcome of that case was going to be.

You’re a lawyer? Ever hear of an in limine order that limits testimony admissible at trial? Then you have your answer.

They spoke out and are having their day in court. Of course a judge would issue a gag order, and rightfully so, to ensure as fair a trial as possible considering all the publicity this case has gotten. This is normal and there really isn’t anything here to be outraged about.

“They are all valid concerns, and I’d expect even lawyers for the victims would say their clients want Nassar to have a fair trial. But”
