They had a shortened season six due to lack of funding, and yet still managed to wrap up the main storylines decently while leaving the door open to adapt book 7 and beyond.
The Expanse is a goddamn unicorn of a show: hard science fiction space opera with actual humanity. Like, there’s actual people in it, not tropes or stereotypes or cliches.
