I’m definitely going to be seeing this in the theaters, likely opening weekend so I don’t get spoiled by all the articles, but I can’t say I’m particularly excited.

Damn, I thought they were bringing back Halle Berry’s character for The Ballerina movie.

I’ve yet to see Pearl (going to watch it this weekend maybe) but X was such a pleasant (maybe not the best word?) surprise that I’m all in for this.

Yeah, the humans have been maddeningly stupid to the point I want them all to die because I feel like they deserve it. I do think they could treat Alien like a larger universe and do films that have their own vibe.

I can’t wait to see The Mummy and Alien on the big screen for the first time. Both are some of my favorite movies but I only saw them on VHS or TV as a kid.

Can’t wait to see this in the theater!

Don’t mind the casting, but really wish we weren’t getting a Silver Surfer storyline so soon. Give us Mole Man! Or Molecule Man! Or Blastaar!

[I]t’s irritating to me that we’re still at a point where you care that much about your numbers and you care that much about making money.”

and for multiple people associated with the production to outright die

For me, it’s a failure of the marketing folks if they feel they need to spoil surprises the filmmaker intended to only reveal within the film, or a failure of the filmmakers for making a film that doesn’t seem watchable outside of the surprises, or both. I hate that trailers spoil big moments these days, but they’ve

I know people disliked 2014 Godzilla for holding back on the big guy, but by time the fight happened in the end, almost the entire theater was cheering and screaming. It was kinda worth it, in that regard. I can’t remember that same sense of energy and enjoyment from the other ones.

These creatures and discoveries have understandably captivated the world and scientists, such as Dr. Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall), have dedicated their careers to studying them both.

Didn’t even know that lol still haven’t seen it but I’ll definitely catch up before seeing this one!

Yeah, they have been...but sequels to properties that are nearly 30 years old can definitely feel like forced cash grabs and not be much fun at all, so yeah, I’m surprised.

I am genuinely surprised by how much fun this looks.

As a Baltimorean, this is terrible. Stuff is going to be messed up for quite a while, I imagine. I also saw this while on vacation in Puerto Rico, so it kinda stings more. I go by there all the damn time. I hope they find the missing people. This is horrible.

Have yet to see The Batman (where has my time gone!?) but this looks pretty great.

finally!

Alien is one of those franchises I’ll always check out even if I’ve been disappointed quite a few times. This looks like the first and second films, which are my favorites, so I’m in. It’s cool that his inspiration was a deleted scene from a DVD (yay physical media!) as well. I also loved Álvarez’s Evil Dead and have

“The only scene that had any substance to it was the scene in the barn.”
