This honestly looks pretty fun. From the early set photos, I wasn’t expecting something really big budget and this looks on par for that. I’m down to give it a shot.

He better let his kids watch Batman and Robin while they’re young lol. I remember loving it as a kid, but it was actually made for kids primarily so that makes sense.
lmao yeah, I’m the “pseudo-intellectual” here for sure.
So many books to read, so little time. Gotta get my spooky on.
All my friends think the first one was so terrible. Me and my partner admit it wasn’t good but we were thoroughly entertained for its runtime. If this is as entertaining as the first, I’ll be happy.
I actually liked Jaime’s confession and his acting in that scene. To me, it more registered as a sign of his growth. He seemed to be saying that he knew it was a bad time and that Keeley was happy with Roy, but he just had to get it off of his chest before he regretted it. I don’t think he was trying to get back with…
lol you called me a douche yet you’re the one who posted the one word reply. And comparing what I said to actual racist replies? lol have a nice day with that logic.
My partner worked on this! They didn’t give them any damn credit, though smh.
I agree with a lot of this. I think the episode was overlong by 10-15 minutes. My favorite aspect was Beard and the three guys from the pub. I was hoping for more of a glimpse into his character. I feel like the line he said in church while praying (“...it’s Margrets little boy...first time caller”) or whatever said…
The more I look at it, the more terrified and amazed I am...
I studied Greek history and mythology at my HBCU specifically because I loved God of War and wanted to learn more so I know this lol. Thank you for the refresher, though. There’s a lot you’re leaving out but I’m not an expert or an educator and I don’t feel like going back and forth anymore.
I know you can read. Maybe not comprehend, but reading is a start.
There were Black folk in Sparta, yes. And there were also Black Spartans. Not all of Spartans were white, some were definitely darker skinned and what I’d and others would consider Black.
His skin in the original, before he was covered in the ashes of his loved ones, was a brownish red. To think there were no black people in that time, or no black spartans is the problem. There definitely were. His mom could’ve been mixed anyway.
People either forget that Kratos is black or try to ignore it. I’ll never forget playing the first game, seeing his skin color and being like “YES! A black person as the main character that’s not player created in a video game!”
Redo:
One can hope all that re-run stuff takes place in the first 30 minutes and then it’s actually a completely fresh tale instead of a this “Hey young kids, remember that Matrix movie your parents saw a couple decades ago? Here it is AGAIN but NEW ;)!” route it seems to be taking.
Going to rent a private theater and treat the friends and family to this. Most of them will probably fall asleep but me and my partner are very excited to see it on the biggest screen possible.
The last one I really enjoyed was FC3 and I can even remember feeling like some of that game was “meh” and cringe inducing even back then. It was honestly all downhill for this series after Vas, even in the same game he debuted in.
I really enjoyed the first, the perspective shift should be really interesting.
