I recently shed a couple “friends” this way. I stopped initiating hangouts, and then ran into one of them a YEAR later. She said “omg let’s catch up!” I said “sure, text me” knowing i wouldn’t hear from her and it’s been another 6+ months.

These dorm-style living arrangements are great, and SHOULD be an option. My main issue is that people are living in them because they don’t have a choice to live elsewhere, and communal or dorm-style housing is still not cheap enough to be considered “affordable” housing.
