I’m jealous. I can go two, sometimes three days if I don’t have to leave my house on the third day. I have a TON of thin, greasy, straight hair. I tried to do no-poo, apple cider vinegar rinses, baking soda BS, homemade shampoo, and it doesn’t work.

We lived in this giant, historical house with a rat terrier, and I would move my desk into the bedroom doorway so I could toss/kick tennis balls down the stairs. They would race down the stairs, do a loop through the house, use the back of the couch as a springboard and race back up. For hours.

If I had a few extra hundred dollhairs I would buy STACKS of these and hand them out to all of the women I know. So the next time, some mother fucker on the subway, or sidewalk, or street, or bar, tells them to smile they can offer them this book.

The other layer to this is white people who really DID struggle. Who dealt with abuse, or homelessness, or drug use in the family, poverty, etc. growing up. They don’t look at the term ‘white privileged’ as relative.

I am so, SO tired of explaining to self-described “well-meaning men” where the lines are between acceptable and unacceptable behavior.
