Oh they had definitely been worn, and they were clearly a favorite since he kept them for decades. I don’t think he wore them after the 70’s though.

Yeah, there are places where you can’t buy booze, but it’s much easier to get than in many other states.

It must be so hard to be rich.

They changed it!! You can now buy a case *OR* a twelve-pack. But not at the same place you buy a 6 pack. Or wine. Or liquor. But wine and liquor can be bought at the same place!

I was told this about mountain goats, and my parents rolled their own cigarettes! Definitely believed that one for way, way too long. Even after finding my dad’s burgundy corduroy bellbottoms.

I was an extremely gullible child, so here’s the ones that stick out the most, from awful to amusing to gross:

I moved here from Virginia/Texas/Ohio and I was completely baffled. You can buy booze just about everywhere in Texas. There were probably half a dozen times when I lived in Houston someone would grab a 40oz at the gas station and chug it on the way to the car. Then I moved here, and wandered around Whole Foods for 30

You mean Indefinitely Appointed Muslim-Lord Protector.

You just missed it! It’s starting to get chilly, and I have to say I am very sad to see the warmth go. Last winter was my first “real” winter again in years and it was brutal. By this time last year I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it, and winter hadn’t even officially started yet.

The Heights in Houston, TX is still dry. Only private drinking clubs can sell booze. And I break the law every time I buy wine while working in New Jersey and drive over the Betsy Ross to Philadelphia.

Re: #4... It’s a serious disservice to Democrats and Americans in general that the DNC isn’t willing to host a real debate that people might actually watch.

Things I love about tennis: playing it, the Williams’ sisters.

Bullshit. 45 in Houston is the favorite spot of NO PERSON EVER.

the more the merrier! It is the holidays, after all.

Because tennis (a sport I played and love) is a very exclusionary sport. It favors people with money, and particularly in women’s tennis it favors the pretty, petite athlete. The Williams sisters are looked down on by many because they’re outsiders. Serena has been criticized for being too masculine, for not being

We should also require that all jizz socks be buried as abandoned potential children and provided with at least $5.00 child support.

It’s cool I’ve got this one. Fox News logic:

I tried to rationalize once by stating just that; it’s not necessarily anti-Christmas, it just also includes Turkey Day, NYE, etc. but it didn’t work. Basically Merry Christmas or hell.

Some people consider the attempts to include all religions by using the term “happy holidays” instead of just “merry Christmas” a true affront to Jesus and a vicious attack by political correctness.

My uncle and his (now) wife dated for 8-9ish years before getting hitched and they went through HELL for it. Mostly the teasing, poking fun time but if there’s one thing my family is good at is torment in the guise of “jokes.”
