I also think the *kind* of ultimatum is important. I know someone (two someones) who was waffling on the future of their respective relationships. They were both told by their respective significant others that if they left they couldn’t go on living without them. One threat was vague and the other more specific

Bless you. That is amazing.

It’s probably on his lower back.

There were a few seconds where I thought the tattoo on his chest said “aww” and I wasn't sure how that fit into his brand/image.

I wish I could take credit for the idea but alas I saw a shirt on the inter webs with two bees in white tshirts that said “boo!” And it was adorable.

I considered dressing up as a ghost bee. A BOO! Bee. Boobs. Basically I wanted to go as a boob.

LOL

Anytime a (almost exclusively) black person is killed by the police the first thing that happens is everyone tries to uncover what that person could’ve possibly done to deserve their murder. It doesn’t matter how little, unrelated, or perfectly legal whatever that thing might have been.

Hence the “fewer racist pricks” part

Yup. I was walking home late one night in high school and two classmates offered to walk me home. Until we got to my neighborhood and they refused. They said two black dudes with a white girl at night was just asking for trouble from the police. I didn’t understand until I told a friend of mine asked if I was scared.

Yeah I clarified in a later comment that no amount of training in the world would prevent the is going u from being in a world class prick, but my comment about training was more for the reasonable police officers.

People do press charges, but they're overwhelmingly found not guilty, or a grand jury is called and we know how that usually turns out.

All the training in the world won't prevent that guy from not being a prick. But as a whole, the police force needs better training. Police work is tough and no doubt disheartening and maddening but that is no excuse for this behavior. He could've easily killed that girl if she had landed wrong.

It was an incredibly depressing but much needed story. Thanks for clarifying my the added detail! I was feeling lazy.

I wish he'd tolerate boots. If there's more than a dusting of snow he doesn't last for more than 3 minutes before he's convinced his paws will fall off.

Don't worry I'm sure he'll get a job pretty quickly as a security officer or another position of authority with weapons. Because this is America!

yeah it was depressing. The detective was like we had no reason to believe he was connected to the crime spree or any other crimes. Even the judge was like “dude didn’t do it!” (My words not his) but yet somehow he's in jail for 23 years. STILL. TODAY. TOMORROW.

Well, if it’s a legitimate dam breech, the dam has ways to just shut that whole thing down.

Luckily they were not talking directly to/at/about me but it still hit home, haha.

I was walking behind some teenagers (14-15) and one of them said “DUDE! She’s like, SO OLD. She’s probably THIRTY” and I cried on the inside a little.
