Counterpoint: when you do unsportsmanlike stuff like what’s shown above, you can’t claim that people only kick you because you are better. Some people actually just wanna kick you because you’re an asshole.

I’m all for Neymar being cocky with his play, I’m all for him trying to nutmeg everybody under the sun, and control long passes with those nifty little showoffy flicks and taking ludicrous shots and what the fuck ever.
Fuck that. They kick him because they can’t stop him. How is he the c u next Tuesday in this scenario?
So you’re saying if soccer had bats, he’d flip them?
This sums it up: Yes, he was being kind of an ass
The problem isn’t that Neymar pulls off cool shit during games. The problem is that Neymar is kind of a cunt. Ronaldinho did this shit all the time and literally got applauded by rival teams/fans.
When the source of the money is from the owners other funds, it’s an outside source. When Barca and Madrid spend money, its money that was generated by football related sources. When PSG spends money, it’s money generated from their owners oil profits.
So Billy’s position is that parity and fiscal restraint are bad, except when they’re good?
Spot on Bill. I wanted to point out two things that seem to be getting lost in the comments section. First, City stands alone re the shitty effect of the obscene amounts of money in the marketlace because (i) their transfer money spending is fueled by money generated separate and apart from their football related…
It’s kind of different when clubs like ManU, Barca, and Madrid generate the money they spend. Man City and PSG get their money from outside sources and can essentially operate as marketing arms of their governments. There’s nothing wrong with a team spending what they earn, but there is something wrong with a team…
That’s because Barcelona’s money, along with Real Madrid and Manchester United, come from club revenue, not from outside sources. City and PSG are not really playing by the same rules. They are subsidiaries of nation-states that cook the club’s books in order to cheat Financial Fair Play rules.
In the long run, this is another example of why the Leicester title was so special. Hard to imagine anybody truly competing over a full season with the top 4-6. Wages are like 2-3 times higher as well, not even counting transfer budgets.
Yea that’s a bullshit low blow. The Glazer family also amassed their fortune legitimately. Maybe they had the occasional shady business deal, but that’s not exactly the same as being bankrolled by an oil rich country like PSG and Man City.
United generate the money they spend, mate.
Didn’t Pep just complain about financial constraints at the club just last week? Now they just spent a club record on Laporte and are apparently in for Mahrez...
I make pretty much the same move when she starts a promo.
I am the first to admit my 5 year old son can be annoying as fuck. He’s also 5 and probably doesn’t deserve to be insulted — and being called an annoying fuck is, in fact, an insult — by a grown man broadcasting to thousands of people.
Toucher & Rich?
Do I want to sympathize with Boston sports radio or Eagles fans?
What planet was this guy on where he thought insulting Tawmmy’s daughter would be a good idea?
