The backstory is nice. Without it, there'll be zero purpose of the fighting and people everywhere will be shouting "WTF IS GOING ON HERE".

Forget the Anime.

The character casting is equally spot on. Almost everyone looks so much like their anime/manga counterparts that they are instantly recognizable. By far, the best cast character in the film is Tamako as she both looks and sounds like she was ripped straight out of the anime. It's uncanny, really.

That too. But first for me is her front pony just "unleash" in the first 0.5 sec of the animation...

Time to dust off my Logitech Wingman 3D joystick that's been sitting in cardboard box for the last decade.

Oh gawd now I want to play that game. I never picked up any of the new Batman series.

I'm not saying Kain isn't a great character. They're both extremely well developed characters with interesting build.

I played the game. I love it. Like... LOVE it. It's not perfect, but wow I'm so immersed in that character.
