Maybe... people spending $50k on full sized, leather lined sedans (V8 or not) don't have the same purchasing habits as 18 year old internet fanbois (driving a 4 cylinder, FWD car, even with a stick, doesn't automatically give you the enthusiast cred you'd like to believe).
I think it's because nobody wants to spend $50,000 on a Chevy.
But here is the catch, it is pretty much impossible to actually find a manual trans equipped SS. A nationwide search on Cars.com revealed zero manual SS cars.
Why is a large screen "dominating" the cockpit a concern? It broadens appeal of the car, makes it appear more upscale inside, and improves everyday livability. Downsides are uh... I guess if you prefer analog dials from the 80s with a monochrome readout? But if you want that, just buy an old car and shut up about it.
Shocker! A sophomoric blog doesn't get invited to a real press event? Consider me flummoxed.
Well, since it's a university in New York City, I guess they'll be going with the city's traditional gender-neutral salutation, "Hey, asshole."
Finally, a way to get kids to put their phone down.
A P85D hard launch is the equivalent of sitting on your living room couch and having your house catapulted off of an aircraft carrier.
These lists have been out of hand for a while, whichever biased person makes it can change the rules in any way they want so they can include whatever they want. The LS should be on this list, but because the writer is a ford fanboy it is not.
I'm not a tax accountant, but I am a CPA - and the "lease, so it's a business expense!" makes no sense to me.
Every now and then I get out a bunch of old X-Men pogs that I had growing up, and I explain that these are going to be "money" or "toy money" for a while.
That focus on prestige has always struck me as the dumbest reason to buy/not buy a car. I understand it's the reality, but it's still just stupid high-school popularity contest bullshit. The idea that somebody would be embarrassed to say they drive a Lexus, I mean, why? Because other people say it's "not cool"? Who…
I suppose you're right with the cost as it is. I was thinking about the original NSX, and people praising its reliability. However, they did ask me what I would buy, and I'd go for the NSX on reliability. I'm not rich, but if I ever get there, it will be due to smart decisions along the way, like buying reliable…
I don't think it will run against anything. I am not sure a lot of cross shopping happens at this price range. Hell, there aren't even test drives.
This shot's pretty epic.
The reason has nothing to do with fuel or my latent desire to pollute your driveways — it has to do with oil. When your car has been sitting out overnight, all the lubricating oil that's coating all of the crucial, moving bits of the car has settled down to the bottom of the oil pan. When the temperatures are really…
This looks really ergonomically uncomfortable, your knuckles would be rubbing against the air vents and you'd have to extend your arm pretty far to touch the top of the screen.
If BMW wants to do this touchscreen/iDrive thing, they'd better redesign all of their interiors, since they've been set up to have far-away…
Why are we banning cell phone use while driving again? . . Because it's "distracting"?
I do NOT want or need a touchscreen in a vehicle. A clean, clearly visible screen is something more desirable to me. I don't want to use touchscreens because they're not feasible for the long-term. Kudos to Audi for keeping it properly sustainable.
