There is a zero percent chance that Sony execs were like “We got Feig and McCarthy plus the GB IP and were projected to make less than all their other movies (as per BoxOfficeMojo so take that as you will) but at least it was their best opening weekend!” Opening Weekend for a huge IP like this is very misleading,

This is projected to make less than Feig’s other movies, not the outcome Sony or he was banking on Im sure.

Maybe they can partner with the MCU to help another under performing franchise?

Yeah BvS was so successful they invited tons of reporters to the set of Justice League to see a few scenes filmed and promise the future movies were going to be way more “fun”. It was actually pretty hilarious/pathetic attempt to right the course for a franchise (MoS included) that hasn’t made nearly enough money.

Ohm...yeah your responses haven’t given me any idea of why the original poster of this thread as well as the author of the article have stated it was in Cecillia’s words “a little pricey” relative to the product. Thanks for the responses but really no need to continue since clearly you don’t actually know yourself.

There is no way that the $70 price tag is due to just the smaller market (but thanks for the supply/demand lesson). The original poster of this seemed to know something about pricing structure of products like this and they stated this is way over priced for a 224 page B&W paperback.

$70 CAD? Wow...so basically a huge barrier for young girls or their parents to get what sounds like a important/inspirational book. Not really knowing anything about pricing on these things how is it so expensive?

Actually I was just responding to your comment about not getting the difference between reboot and continuation. So was trying to explain what the very clear or obvious difference between the two. Any sort of emotional investment you think I have on this topic was just projection on your part, heck I didn’t comment

It’s pretty basic actually, a reboot states that Egon, Winston, Ray and Venkman were never Ghostbusters while a continuation states that they used to be Ghostbusters but have been replaced. Best way to explain I suppose..Force Awakens takes tons of story beats from New Hope similar to the new Ghostbusters rehashing

Ohmm, I thought the sentence is pretty clear but I suppose I’ll rephrase...I don’t care about the all female cast/Paul Feig being involved one way or another (this was a direct response to the initial post) but I do care about the fact that the movie is erasing the previous cast from existence while still trying to

Frankly I could care less about the all female cast or Paul Feig, hell I though The Heat and Spy were funny as shit. The only “problem” I have is this movie is telling me Egon, Ray, Winston and Venkman are NOT Ghostbusters. All they had to do was make this movie 30 years later idea and just reboot with new crew but

Seems sad that really what is/could be a great story is being overshadowed literally by the word “Hydra”. I know the Red Skull and Cosmic Cube are directly tied to the story but curious Mr. Comic Professor sir (I’ll assume you graduated at the top of your class from the finest Comic University in the galaxy), if there

I think your dead on with how it came about, Civil War was huge and Cap is likely the most mainstream popular he has ever been and Marvel wanted to capitalize on it. The “mistake” (I do agree with what your saying that mistake is a relative term and doesn’t necessarily apply to the comic story itself) if you want to

Agree with what your saying about Nick Spencer, he really shouldn’t bare the brunt of this (though as you said he almost certainly will), it really should be the management and editors that take the heat. Nick is writing the story BUT the editors are the ones that decided to print it and as long as they are in

I did follow the Captroversey and was aware of a lot of the overreaction, though not aware of the Auschwitz anecdote or a lot of the more extreme (to say the least) reactions. My use of “upset” was a purposeful understatement because honestly I didn’t want to get pulled into an arguement of degree’s of an individuals

Ohmm...people who are saying they called it aren’t that clever since no one actually thought Cap was really truly a Hydra agent so maybe don’t gloat you sound ridiculous. And for those who think this “big reveal” should shut up the people who were so upset it in the first place didn’t actually read to carefully

I was asking a question based on comments posted at the time because I personally didn’t know the answer. Frankly your response was both good (your first paragraph answered my question in thorough/precise way) and terrible (why would I assume a black man had a personal relationship with all the other black

Seriously? I don’t really follow Comics that close anymore so can’t really say one way or another but are they really on the pages just because they’re black not because they have a recorded pre-existing history together?

Yeah, Ive enjoyed reading the defense of Cosplayers showing skin and the outcry on the Santa Fe Comic Con straight up saying they weren’t intrested in “Boob Models” and Luke got on his high horse to rip him as well as link multiple articles ripping on Santa Fe...then he calls a Pool Party
“Some of the Best Cosplay of

Countless hours? How do you know they put any more time than getting dressed and someone else actually made the costume? Frankly I think its pretty funny how fast people are to defend Cosplayer’s they do not know at all. Also the “Pool Party” makes me think of the outcry when the Santa Fe Comic Con..clearly a pool
