I work in an office where “business casual” is the norm but except for upper management this translates to pretty casual for everyone else. I’m kind of amazed at the unimpeded walk down Sixth during SXSW. I went down there just once this year, on Saturday night, and it was a clusterfuck of epic proportions. This had to have been either Wednesday, Sunday, or fairly early in the day before most people got up and out.

Yeah, well, if you find the actual article outside of the Times paywall anywhere, let me know. I’m curious myself. I’m just going by multiple reports in other papers that did have access to the story and cherrypicked from it, and they all say he said he wasn’t.

I don’t have a Times sub either but all the sources using quotes from the article say that he denied being a victim and credited his mother for protecting him from it. The closest I found so far is this:

Actually, he did. In another quote from the interview, which wasn’t reprinted here, he stated that it never happened to him because his mother was always around to protect him.

Yup, sometimes I think people here (and not specifically anyone on here, because some of the other Gawker subsites are way worse about it than Jez ever is) forget that just ‘cause they work somewhere it’s totally okay to have that up on the screen, the majority of us don’t work somewhere that’s cool with it.

I was too pissed off about Summer, for the shit way they killed him and that it bought them absolutely no time at all. The yelps as the wights tore him apart were just too much. I was pretty furiously tweeting all the fuck yous to the showrunners for that. Such a waste.

I actually groaned out loud when Dany told him she needed him by her side. That was totally the look of a dude who thinks what she’s saying is he’s got a chance.
