Newflash dipshits: if someone is going to sexually assault someone in a public restroom they already don’t care if they’re supposed to be in there or not. Making up some stupid transphobic rule under the guise of public safety won’t make a lick of difference.
From what I’ve seen/heard of it the only people I’ve met who are really invested in the name are school alumni who are against a name change, because if they change it then it’s not the school they went to. I should also note these were older native Austinites I heard talking about it, so I’m pretty sure there’s also…
Just like gastroenteritis!
Mine too, I practically cackled at the part when he tossed her letter in the fire and went right back to whatever else he was doing.
Hahahaha!
*book spoiler below, be warned*
Jon Popsicle.
The way I read his reaction in that scene is horror that he’s momentarily become his father, though. At the slight risk of reading too much into it, that one moment addresses the cyclical violence of poverty and to me at least it’s a pivotal moment of the film.
What I wouldn’t give for people to stop treating these jizzmonkeys like their dumbass views deserve any respect at all and flat out tell them to their faces how fucking stupid they are.
Whoa, I did not know that! I think this absolutely counts as part of his mentoring, though. Just because the dancers weren’t playing instruments in the band didn’t make them any less an integral part of the show, and can you imagine how much there was you could learn just from being around a consummate showman and…
I was hoping someone would write up a piece about this. Thanks Julianne! Aside from his obvious musical talent his track record for boosting women’s careers in music was one of the things I respected the most about Prince.
Everybody’s pretty much summed up my initial reaction so I’m just gonna share something amazing instead. This is one of my favorite Prince moments ever, covering Radiohead’s “Creep” in 2008 and fucking OWNING it.
Ok, that’s gross and yet kinda cute? I’d be kinda “get your rabies paws off me” on the one hand and on the other “awwww you’re just like my cat when she wants something”.
Dance class. I used to spend about six hours a week in the studio when I was younger and it wouldn’t have given me a second thought to see someone wearing that top in class or even wearing it myself back then.
The marketing is a little weird in general for the whole line, but a few of the pieces including the leotards/bodysuits are pretty much standard dancewear.
The Guardian interviewed him a couple weeks ago and he sounds like the kind of person who lives in a cabin in the woods lined with tinfoil.
I’m just gonna leave this here:
He punched a 5 year old for being upset at seeing him shoot her sister dead right in front of her. His pain is pretty much bottom of the priority list here.
This is just my take on it: when a politician is “establishment” to me that indicates entrenched cronyism and maintaining status quo at all costs, rather than trying to actually make meaningful change that will make things better for everyone, not just for their friends.
