I would say these rates would be for an adult with a lot of experience, not for the teenager down the street. ~$16/hour with no taxes taken out is pretty good money for a babysitting gig.

If you could do it full time and love kids it’s on avg 33k a year. That isn’t bad if the kids don’t suck. Especially for those who lack higher education. Although I am sure most aren’t full time, and the kids probably always suck.

I’m surprised it’s considerably more than minimum wage. Are these people professional babysitters, or is this the rate for the high school kid down the street?
