Just because he owned a tiny amount of shares (that yes, made him money) doesn’t mean he had any control or knowledge of music industry contracts. This has been a frequent complaint of artists for decades, and even experienced industry insiders have trouble maintaining control over their masters (see The Beatles,

I don’t believe her father was a “shareholder” in the sense you’re implying; he only held about 3-4% of stock, which wasn’t enough to be on the board.

I actually saw a thread where multiple accounts called her “Warring Warren.” (It was a heavily pro-Sanders thread, though I’m sure that’s just a coincidence.) This primary is going to be exhausting exclusively because of jerks like that.

“She has discussed vetting refugees according to religion; something of which Donald Trump approved.”

Wasn’t she being considered to be part of Trump’s cabinet? Didn’t she met with him almost immediately after he was elected?

I am blown away by how many people are completely fine with Gabbard when she has some deeply problematic stances on several progressive issues. How can she get away with that when other candidates get slaughtered for even slightly stepping out of line with the left?

You’d be surprised at the knitting drama. There’s actually been a few cycles of drama I’m aware of with yarn shops and dyers talking about knitting spaces not being POC-friendly, and that causing a big uproar from bigots.

Another recommendation for Under the Banner of Heaven, which branches out a lot into the culture surrounding the murders but is incredibly fascinating.

To be fair, it’s gender bias OR the shadowy establishment who seek to foil him at every turn because he is the Messiah. He has layers.

I get a text message every time Warren comes out with a new plan (this morning’s was abolishing private prisons, YES), and I think the average is about once a week. She’s working hard for my vote, Sanders; can I say the same about you?

Different strokes and all, but after dating my fiancee for a year while we lived apart, and having lived together for 2 years so far, I far prefer living together. Part of it might be both of us still get alone time, and not having kids, it’s okay for us to retreat to different corners of the house when “space” is

Probably the only places that would refuse you service are hot water spring spas (and that has more to do with tattoos or dreadlocks or an overall “scary” look), and in a way, not speaking the language is actually preferable. Japanese, as a gross simplification, seem to feel a lot more comfortable when foreigners are

And they do that... how? They don’t even seem to have the majority of Dem votes within the House, forget the Senate all together. *How* do they hold the executive accountable when they have 1/4 of the power? (Executive, Senate, House, judicial.)

Wow Doc, how did every single one of my exes manage to write you the first letter? That’s amazing!

But seriously, LW1, I was your girlfriend *so many times*, and while I would never call myself socially perceptive, I could still tell every time that my boyfriend wasn’t really that into me, because I was kinda chubby,

Pretty much anything by Alyssa Cole! Her “Accidental Royals” theory (with its small, spin off novellas) are amazingly well written, funny, sexy (2nd book has a Scottish blacksmith hero!) with WOC as the heroines. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Exactly. I’m in the midst of wedding planning right now, and while I’ve done the brunt of the research (because I like that sort of thing), my fiancee has been fantastic at equally making decisions, laying out his needs/desires, sitting down when I request help researching, and getting his own tasks done. He is a pro

Granted, high school was over a decade ago, but I was aware of trans folks being Extremely Online as I was, was the least Girl to have ever Girled (hated makeup, hated dresses, hated pink, hated doing my hair and bras, had very stereotypical “Guy Nerd” hobbies, thought majority of girls Gossiped and were fake and dumb

I had a similar problem with ThirdLove (also really squeezed the skin folds right under my armpits, which is a problem I haven’t experienced with any other bras.) I’ve actually found great success with Aerie!

Dumb question, but I thought he based GOT on the War of the Roses, where the Tudors united with the Lancastrians and married the Yorks, leading to nearly a century of prosperity and solid rule. (Not sure if you count James as a Tudor?) So, the whole “unity and humanity” thing actually worked out pretty well for

He wasn’t a last minute add, it just wasn’t known if he’d be there because Meghan might give birth right around now.

I hate us.
