Okay so I’ve seen tons of discussion around this on my FB, and here’s my underlying question:

Light a match and drop it into the nearest garbage. Sit back and enjoy as the flames slowly grow and then consume everything around you and all you love.

The sheer irony of this is that my parents adore state parks (go camping constantly and love the West), and yet happily voted for Trump and are supporting all his cabinet picks. How... how do these things compute?!

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Also anybody who wasn’t a gullible moron.

I think DramaFever kind of stole the thunder; if you want Kdramas, most folks I know go there for streaming. Too bad there isn’t a good Jdrama equivalent; Crunchyroll is good for anime, but bad for the live action drama.

WHAT. MUST WATCH THIS NOW. GOODBYE, MY ENTIRE WEEKEND.

I love Kdrama, so I am ALL about this. Happy to see Netflix dipping a toe into other culture’s entertainment scene.

God bless my past self, the first time a guy tried to snap my bra (or was it unhook it, can’t quite recall) I turned around in the hallway and SCREAMED at him. I got labeled crazy and the b-word, and boy howdy, did no body ever try again. Being ugly AND ornery is a pretty good defense.

“Any kind of punching would have been unacceptable. Yelling would have been unacceptable. Not laughing would have been unacceptable.”

“How about movie set in Minneapolis, about their thriving arts scene?”

Heck yeah! This city has an amazing amount of character, and we are the next biggest theater scene outside of New York. There’s also something romantic and whimsical about our winters at times. I’ve started setting all of my romance novels here just

Oh man, that’s a great quote that I should have used with my family. :-/ My sister and I were outlining all of the ways we were terrified about Trump, and how he’s going to negatively effect our lives and the lives of our friends (might have to carry a rape to term, transgendered bathrooms, marriage rights, violence)

“Work houses, poor houses and debtor’s prison, full stop ahead. Next stop, the 1700's.”

See: my mother. Who also complains about black women and how they can’t afford all these kids they have. But also hates abortion and thinks the federal government shouldn’t subsidize birth control pills.

Starting to see that here in Minneapolis as well. I’ve been seeing luxury condos built in the strangest locations; incredibly expensive apartments that even I can’t afford (and I have a decent middle class job) in shall let’s say non-rich-people neighborhoods. And there are SO many of them! I recently went apartment

I have always hated it as a news source. Way back in 2007, I got into an argument with a friend who kept insisting Twitter was amazing and the cutting edge of news because it could show us “first hand” accounts and get us news quickly from the ground (this was during the Egyptian elections, I believe.) I kept pointing

I sew, and you would not believe how many hardware tools I actually use in my projects. Especially jeans. Jeans require ALL the tools!

Out of curiosity, why do you hate Seattle? I live in Minneapolis, and have always been tempted to pack up and head to Seattle if I moved anywhere; bad choice?

Perhaps they didn’t think they had it in the bag, but the opposite; maybe they thought, no matter how much money they poured into it, they’d never make a dent in WI. Cause, after all, this is the state that refused to recall Walker and *re-elected him* despite his horrific policies. Maybe the Clinton campaign thought

I’m in Minneapolis, and I think it depends on where you go. I actually saw an amazing amount of yard signs. The area around Lake Calhoun, Roseville and Uptown were mostly Clinton, and White Bear Lake, Edina, and North Oaks were Trump... which was a very weird dichotomy I don’t know how to digest.

Eh I can’t really buy that the Dems saw WI as being blue and in the bag. MN, maybe, but not the state that repeatedly voted in Walker, despite boatloads of reasons they shouldn’t. WI rural voters seem to have long had a “burn it all down” mentality (am from rural WI, up northwest way) and simply get excited about
