Yeah, they’re really jumping the shark with this whole thing. They specifically mentioned amplifying voices in that post and then didn’t actually amplify any voices and seem to only be doing so now in response to the understandable backlash.

Agreed and I really like the choice of “Overlooked” as the title of the feature. Simple and accurate and accepting of responsibility for the omission of these women.

You can see the difference even here in America (albeit anecdotally since the 1996 republican congress blocked the CDC from compiling stats on gun violence). NYC has some of the toughest gun regulations in the country and while our city has it’s fair share of problems, mass shootings aren’t one of them.

I was just deservedly on the receiving end of the ultimatum conversation but this will be my daily mantra as I pray my partner trusts me enough to stay with me as I work to be better.
