I said this on another thread, but some zoos do actually help and protect animals. I’m actually not the biggest zoo fan, but hearing of the work the San Diego Zoo and others have done has changed my mind a bit. These tigers are dying out and a lot of zoos have gone into the “business” of cultivation and sustainability…

Right, zoos are just the main groups actively involved in animal conservation. But what do you really care about that? Oh right, you don’t care.

Intentional, systematic transgressions over the course of decades is different from a momentary loss of judgment.

One of the most disturbing things in the original article was that Foos AND Talese clearly felt (and explicitly stated) that because the guests didn’t know this was happening it wasn’t a real crime - a no harm-no foul approach to consent that is truly terrifying.

This man is a predator. He can couch it in research, but he’s a predator.

Prom 2001 here. Yep, It was frosted eyeshadows, chunky heels and frosty matching dresses in pastels.
