They were participating in a promotion that involved taking selfies put on by the stadium. It had just been announced right before this clip.

Not a detraction for me—I was thinking the same thing. On the real, that’s exactly why these fuckers keep raping and murdering unchecked—the cops and judges keep judging women who don’t fit their narrow little concept of a “good woman.”

I promise that, if I am ever elected to office, I will release all my sex tapes preemptively, so that they are not a scandal if they become released accidentally.

You are a hero. Thank god SOMEONE had the courage to stand up for the real victim here. Take the rest of the day off, champ.

i started writing a very long comment with statistics and well-thought-out reasoning but then thought better of it. this comment shall now simply say that you seem like a very reasonable fellow with solid notions of right and wrong and fairness and separating criminal courts from those of public opinion. (no snark,

almost all jobs will terminate someone’s position or place them on leave if they’re facing legal allegations. almost every corporate position, including professional athletes, comes with a morality clause. or are you saying morals don't apply to famous people?

I’m a teacher. If I was under investigation for sexual assault I would absolutely expect to be suspended pending the outcome. Some jobs require a higher standard of behavior (which is written into the nhl cba).

A jury doesn't find someone innocent. They find someone not guilty which is not the same thing by far.

Innocent until proven guilty has kept him out of jail to this point, that’s all it is good for. It does not extend to fans having to support a guy who has been accused of rape, or the team that he plays for. If this Blackhawk fan is disgusted and boycotts the team over it, that is American free speech and free market

It is commonplace in most places of employment that if you’re alleged to do something this bad, your employer suspends you with pay pending investigation. I see no reason why that wouldn’t be the proper course of action here.

Court. Of. Law. Innocent until proven guilty is not a thing outside a court of law.

The NHL is not the judicial system. They do not have to wait for due process or whatever bullshit you wanna bring up.

Preds fan here - I’m feeling the same way about Ribeiro. I’m disgusted that Poile resigned him and I’m really apprehensive about supporting them this year.

Fellow Hawks fan, you are not alone. And seeing the many supporting Kane is very frightening. Both deserve a benefit of a doubt during this process, but for honesty’s sake, I wouldn’t invite Kane to my bachelor party, never liked the dude, even as a rookie, just the smug look rubbed me the wrong way.

They aren’t delivered to the victim. That’s the point of the story.

I was really surprised at how many little kids and little girls were wearing Kane jerseys at the training camp festival this past Monday. I realize he hasn’t been proven guilty yet, but regardless of what happens, he isn’t exactly the pinnacle of someone I want my six year old girl looking up to. Although not exactly

This is disgusting. Rape Kits are important, time sensitive pieces of evidence that should always remain inside of police possession and within the confines of the lab doing the testing.

The way the accuser has been treated throughout this entire thing is a fucking travesty.

As a Chicago Blackhawks fan, I will completely renounce this franchise if they let this dude play. He shouldn’t even be sniffing the ice until this investigation is completed. This is absolutely disgusting.

This is EXACTLY why most rape victims don’t report the crime.
