Even regular winter tires... Driving a Miata these days, and it’s at least as good, if not better, than the past two AWD cars (92x and G35x) I’ve owned where I just kept all seasons on year-round. Those work enough to make you too cheap and lazy to buy winter tires.

The fringe use case is what I hear mostly when people ask me how impractical my Miata is as a daily. No, I bought it because it’s FAR more practical, and isn’t a compromise like having to drive a boring truck around. Decent trunk for the small amount of things I carry, holds me and one other person. Typically I’m

*Caturday, but point still stands.

I CAN ONLY GET SO HARD...

You missed the reference, but it’s a bit taboo around here considering the astronauts who come from Purdue. Neil Armstrong sound familiar?
It’s just *not* a thing you’d ever mention publicly.

Same, and as an American under the age of 90, I can’t even utilize our shitty “healthcare.”

Hey look everyone, Fletch has never seen People Of Walmart. ;)

Glad he’s going to get through this, but can you imagine being a Purdue grad and not believing in the goddamn moon landing?

Around here, you can do chicks at the same time, man, for $2,500. CP for me as well.

Looks amazing... then I see “145,000 miles” and even worse, “2wd.” Why put all that effort into a turd?

I know it isn’t comparable, but I daily an NC Miata... paid like 9k for it. Has all options that you could get back in ‘07, and low miles... That’s about the MAX I’d pay for a fun little shitbox to rip around in. $42k? Jesus... how could you even enjoy a car that’s such a burden.

My legs are long enough that you *can’t* recline if you sit in front of me. Bashing my arthritic knees over and over will only get a “OH MY FUCKING CHRIST” from me, and nothing more... I can’t help it... can’t move out of the way. Had to piss once and the dick in front of me had reclined his seat in my absence... I

Unrelated, but I wish they’d just make a Corolla hatch today using the BRZ / GT86 underpinnings.

Won’t say I’ll never buy a Chinese car, but it’d take a lot of convincing. An iPhone? Fine. A car can kill you if it’s half-assed, and they half-ass most of what they make.

Some of us only want one car. MR2 wasn’t an option. Miata is every bit as fun, but useful every day.

Miata is actually pretty practical (for me). I drove an MR2 Spyder. It was great, but zero luggage. The Miata works for a 95% of what I do. Good on long trips, grocery shopping, even holds cat litter and softener salt.

You’re not wrong. Income inequality and stagnant wages have fucked both of my passions (driving and flying). Aviation is feeling this as well. I’m fortunate enough I can share a plane with some other dudes.

Same. I went with a Miata because I can’t even get a sunroof in the BRZ. Granted the Miata is pretty dark and claustrophobic with the top up.

I was gonna say. I daily drive an old NC and it’s capable of a 6.5 0-60 which is more than adequate. It’s only a bit slower than the G35 I replaced. It’s the most comfortable (albeit noisy) long distance car I’ve owned as well. Zero discomfort after ten hours. The ND is quicker, has more creature comforts, and is proba

Maybe if somebody builds it for them. They can’t make sports cars any more. They have to hope someone will make them one.
