Can confirm. Owned a 1992 240sx and a 1997... I loved both of them (‘92 was better though). It was a good engine in traffic, but god was it a slow car, although still considerably quicker than the V6 Mustang and Camaro of the day.

I’ll probably buy a used BRZ as my next car. Snow tires for winter. I don’t have kids, and won’t have kids probably. I miss driving for fun, and it’s practical enough.
But I don’t understand the comments regarding the car’s power. We love the Miata, but chastise the 86 / BRZ? It’s decently quick, even if that’s not

I live in Lafayette, IN - SIA plant. Was Subaru / Isuzu Automotive. Now it’s Subaru of Indiana Automotive.

That’s SIA. ;) I don’t really WANT to work in a factory, but we have a couple of super awesome ones locally that I’m proud of and wouldn’t hesitate to take an assembly job in (GE aviation is the other).

I wonder if they made it at my local plant. At one point, we made ALL of the Legacies and variants for the world, including turbo JDM models we couldn’t buy here. I ended up parking cars there one summer, but ended up working for AWC (Isuzu’s warehousing company). Not as cool, but still got to drive some Fronteras and

Still cuddled. Worth it.

It’s like they’re tryin’ to fuck God, ya know?

... I mean, if I were drunk enough on Hot Damn and the bar was smokey enough...

Fuck it. I love this and it’d work for what I need.

Possibly... It gets pretty damn uncomfortable here in the summer particularly. Bat wings are no joke, man. ;)

Precisely where my head is at. Currently into Infiniti for the same reason. I paid $16k for a gently-used G35x several years back, and looking to replace with Q50 for even less... but this is even more tempting.

If the other choice wasn’t FWD... it’d be okay, but who the hell actually WANTS a FWD car, who’d frequent this forum?

Just about every Nissan used to be available in AWD, in Japan. Even the U12 Bluebird had AWD... surprised it took this long.

I’ve worn no gear to full gear and it makes no difference. Arriving gross and sweaty is no bueno.

But like, they put the doors on backward.

Why not walk? Unlimited mileage, and you’ll arrive sweaty and gross like you would on a motorcycle.

AWD >= RWD >>>> FWD in snow... having owned all of these, I just can’t stand losing my goddamn steering whenever my driven wheels slip a little.

By far, the best winter experience I ever had was in the same car which had the worst. My 1997 Nissan 240sx wouldn’t move with regular summer(ish) tires, not even in a 1/4". I got some Michelin Arctic Alpins mounted on 15" Maxima wheels for cheap (barely used at all) from a friend, and it changed my life. I could NOT

We have crabs here in Indiana.

Can confirm! Any crosswind means I’m not flying in a straight line, and wind at altitude is usually a given. A perfectly-aligned tailwind can’t be beat though.
