If you’re buying an 09, be sure to get the S model with the 4.7 rather than the 4.2 (even tho it still sounds great), but for the LOVE OF GOD don’t get the F1 transmission. Ask me how I know.

Nope, but married to one for 10+ years. Been to Broom, Derby, Melbourne, Newcastle, Bris-vegas, and tons of time spent in Sydney and environs (every beach up to Palmy with almost every Christmas spent in the Newport/Bilgola area). I’m talking about European style sunbaking with tops off. Not as common as in the…
You and I have to be the only ones on this website old enough to get that joke.
If that’s true I don’t know when it started but I’ve seen a lot of topless sun bakers every where from Bilgola and Balmoral in the east to Cable Beach in Broome in the west. Maybe there are crackdowns in popular spots like Bondi but I’ve never seen that.
It sounded that way in my mind.
Considering the general level of toplessness at most beaches in Australia (moderate to high), something merely suggestive like this usually doesn’t merit a second look I’d wager.
The hot garbage F1 transmissions were in only about 250 MY2009 cars. How do I know? Let’s just say the same way I found out clutch replacements were almost 5 figures.
These are surprisingly quick.
Really the answer is “any four-door car (or wagon) you like where they make a vanilla version and a fast version”. At least where they don’t go overboard with the vents and spoilers and whatever - I’m looking at you current BMW M3.
I’ve actually driven an M1 and a Huaracan (but never an Aventador). I’d much rather have the vintage M1 than anything never from Lamborghini. An Islero? Then we’re talking a contest.
I’ve always wanted one. And in this color. Damn you CARB.
A buddy has one of these with about 1/3 the mileage. Maintenance costs right around $12k/year. Yikes!
$1020 on hard mode. But that was on my second run through when I was more aware of the game factors in play.
Burn. Starred.
Beat me to it.
I saw Jackson Browne in concert once.
It actually cost me about the same to replace the front bumper on my Z3M years ago when someone ripped it off in a parking lot, but that was because the piece was so expensive and large and it also required replacing the underbody plastic trays and all the fiddly plastic fasteners. I expected a number north of $20k…
Since someone hit my i8 last weekend, I now know the answer which is: it depends!
For city use, I’d personally go with a Sd.Kfz. 251. Much more mixed use. If I lived in a place with an HOA I’d definitely want a /21 variant.
