I think GM makes some screaming performance bargains, but I’ve been inside this and the new Camaro (and Vette) and there is really no comparison regarding material quality. The Merc is in a different league.

I’m not conspiracy minded, but unless I’m going for the day I always drive from SF to LA. Not much more travel time, and I have my car when I ge there (which is generally going to be nicer than any rental car). Plus instead of dealing with airports and all the downsides, I’m in my own nice car going at my own pace…

My monthly effective on my M6GC (which I am on record hating the transmission in, so I’m not saying it’s a perfect car) is right about $1600. It had every option available on the ‘16s. Understand I got a screaming deal. But would I pay more for a ARGQ? NFW.

I agree this is an awesome show. In an area that feels oddly like an upmarket strip mall to me - but then again I feel that way a lot in LA. (I normally stay on San Vicente about 4 blocks from this.)

My idea was window screens like the have on back windows and rear passenger windows, but for all the other windows. Because I don’t sleep well unless it’s really dark, they would need to be blackout shade quality.
