I’ll take the white one.

Never do that!

If we finally get an M8 can we get a new M1 as well?

Same here! If it had a manual, I’d own one right now.

When I sold my 1M a few years ago, the guy brought a code reader AND a paint thickness meter AND paid for a PPI even though the dealer had just given it a clean bill of health less than 30 days/250 miles previously and it had about 5k total miles.

Drive to LA, set reverse Cannonball record to NYC, drive to Indy.

My wife says I can have it but I have to sell the Lincoln. (Also I already own a 64 NY’er.)

Oh man, I’d do very bad things with and/or to someone for that Maserati motorcycle. Drool.

Agreed. I sold my S2K for an M Roadster because a lot of my driving is done in town.

Oh for sure. I also had (after my S2k) a 1991 850i. Also disappointing, but I was expecting a high-speed GT and that was what it was, but less disappointing than the NSX.

Biggest letdown? Acura NSX.

I think these are undeniably cool cars with a neat history and the values of M3s have probably affected them as well.

I learned on a 1953 Willys Army jeep. Similar to the one in the picture but in much worse shape from being abused by kids in the country for 20-30 years. This is not the best car to learn on, but then again I already had a lot of seat time on dirt bikes so shifting gears was not unfamiliar to me.

I’m confident you’ll make it. I just drove this ride from SF to SB, SB to LA, LA to Laguna, Laguna to LA, and then along the Targa California route to Paso Robles and ultimately Santa Cruz. About 1400 miles. If a 50 year old car can do it with no breakdowns and burning relatively little oil, a relatively new Aston can

I know someone that has owned several exotics, that bought one of the originals in 2008 and didn’t care for it, but bought the new one after driving it and says it is one of his favorite Ferraris to drive ever. Not the fastest, but simply enjoyable to drive and very fast, with good interior ergonomics.

Doug, you’re not doing anything to make me think you are any less in the pocket of Big Carmax.

“Laser”

Funny! I saw an ELR in Napa a few months ago right after two Ferraris drove by. I mentioned the Cadillac to my wife as being super rare - she said “rarer than the Ferraris?” and I replied “Around here? For sure.”

As cool as the Tesla Model S is - and it’s pretty cool - I am a bigger fan of the Volt as a car and what GM is able to accomplish. Here’s a relatively normal-looking car that for regular commuters could theoretically run entirely on battery power. I liked the original Volt as well, and this one is even better. I am in
