Thanks everyone who posted in WAYPTW! After a couple of discouraging WOTs, it was nice to see some evidence that we might survive the switch! (And it also means that whenever I get my game done, I’ll still have somewhere to post about it.)

Honestly, who the hell said that “old Taylor can’t come to the phone” line would be a good idea?
I still go the graveyard and read the tombstones from time to time.
When mocking or dissing something, don’t you kind of want to do it with something better, a superior iteration, a good joke, or at least an effective insult? Or alternatively, when appropriating something, take it to a bigger stage at the very least?
Whoaaaaaa it comes out on the anniversary of Donda West’s death? Ok, that’s fucked up.
She would be, after all, a Young Pope.
I think you’re looking at it wrong. Instead of “why aren’t conservatives good at art”, it’s more “why are most artists liberal”. Similar questions, but different framing. And there are quite a few reasons, I think.
I’m roughly two and a half years older than Taylor Swift, but it feels like she’s at least ten years younger than me.
“Is this thing on?”
You ever notice how Ayn Rand is obsessed with trains? You hear about this? These folks know. She’s crazy about the trains. I say hey Ayn how about you find another way to RAIL against the government! Am I right folks? Is this thing on? Don’t check. I don’t need help. I’ll do it myself. It is on. I guess the…
It’s about time Funny or Die starts living up to its name
I listen to this while taking a shit
I liked the first Kingdom Hearts when I played it on PS2, But IMO its sequels got hit with the self-serious Cerebus Syndrome (haha, pun) hard. I’m currently slogging through KH2: Final Mix and it’s, as you say, a “masochistic exercise.”
I’m actually pretty sure that a lot of the fanbase doesn’t really know what it wants. I saw vocal criticisms of DA:I because of the Mage or Templar choice. That’s the Holy Grail of Bioware RPGs - a choice that has gameplay ripples and content you lose based on that choice. And people thought it was terrible, even if MO…
It’ll take effort on our part to sustain the community, but I think Gameological continues to prove it’s worth it.
EA’s giving a good lesson to learn in life - if you work really hard at something and fail, then don’t bother putting any more effort into it and give up.
Yeah, losing the ability to edit is annoying, because sometimes I’ve made edits to fix my comments because of the replies, and being able to clarify something within the post is important.
My biggest pet peeve about the whole system, by far*, is when you get a notification that someone recommended/upvoted a post but it doesn’t tell you which one.
Thank you! That’s a great point about Square Enix. I guess the Final Fantasy brand is much more of a central pillar of their business than Mass Effect is to EA’s, so Squeenix have more incentive to try to salvage their duds in those cases, but it’s still a pretty damning comparison. Without access to EA’s books, it’s…
No, no, it has nothing to do with it being too “complicated” or the fact that it’s simply “different”. In fact, there was a pretty huge kerfuffle back when the AVC switched from its own in-house concoction to Disqus about five years back. However, Disqus actually responded to a lot of the criticisms and complaints in…
