I haven’t finished it so perhaps there are some unbelievable last minute twists, but that description really doesn’t fit at all. Their relationship isn’t like you assume, which I think makes it interesting.

I’m the opposite. I can’t think of anything I’ve seen her in where she wasn’t insufferable. It was almost enough for me not to watch this. But I’m glad I did anyway; it’s really interesting.

I’m also not in NY/LA. I have some theaters that are only this weekend, but then Drafthouse has times for next week too.

I also thought that moment from Light’s character was a nice touch.

I thought Manchester by the Sea was good. But, yeah, she’s generally a demerit in a movie for me.

If the first 2/3 had been the first 1/3, then I think it could have been better. That would’ve given a lot more time to dig into the reality and the other characters. But it probably also would’ve given the audience more time to ask questions and potentially realize how little sense it all made.

I thought the cinematography was quite good and was reminded of Requiem for a Dream at various points in the movie. And then I saw Libatique’s name in the credits. Dude is good.

189 minutes?! Sounds like he was dragging.

I haven’t seen any. However, I did see plenty for Strange World while many people were saying the opposite. Weird.

For years all I knew of Rambo was the pop culture images of sweaty Stallone with a headband and machinegun. First Blood was such a different (in a good way) movie than I expected.

You’ve made the correct choice.

I can’t remember much about Dark Fate, other than I didn’t enjoy it. I thought Genisys was actually decent and would’ve allowed for the series to be continued. I swear the stupid spelling in the name was the reason why it failed. Although, I just checked and it made $440 million, almost $200 million more than Dark

My favorite is Memento.

Yeah. But I don’t think he did it because his real body was getting destroyed. She saves him at the end and the military folks are sent away. I think he just wanted to join them permanently.

It seems to mostly get trashed around here (and online in general) so I don’t think he’s wrong at this point. But I think people have just decided that they hated it. And it was obviously an accounting mix-up that got it to the top of the box office list.

That was just about it, though. Zoe Saldaña’s character ultimately saved the day.

I wish I hadn’t been spoiled on what was actually going on with her. It really kind of ruined it for me.

Those seem to be fairly recent developments in the stories. Ant-Man was the 12th movie by my count. I don’t remember when Tony actually retired. But Hawkeye and Wanda had their series in the last couple years, but were mostly minor characters before. I’d say maybe his criticism is dated?

Excuse me. I’ve seen Lord of War twice.

That opening paragraph is an abomination.
