I think that many people are so unaccustomed to sincerity that it often sounds fake to them. This is a problem one of my family members has. People often think she’s being sarcastic, but usually she’s just genuinely happy to see or talk to them.

Wall-E is being released in 4k by the Criterion Collection on Nov 22.
I thought Oceania was very good. I haven’t been able to get into anything that’s come after it though.
Yeah, I was trying to make a joke. I had no idea who Jeannette McCurdy was either. I still don’t, really.
She used to be on MTV and thinks vaccines cause autism.
Yeah, I read them as ribbing - a bit at Hayek, but mostly at where he found himself. This was his first major starring role in a movie, right? He’s him and she’s SALMA HAYEK. Just spoon a little with her? Sure. Proclaim your love to her, but don’t look at her? Fat chance.
I enjoyed Fools Rush In.
“...he made up for it with three wins for Breaking Bad until the Emmys decided that that was too many Emmys and stopped giving him them.”
I agree. I just watched it and knew only what you stated (which is the premise provided by HBO as well). Each of the plot turns was definitely a big surprise for me. I think that made it more exciting.
Yeah. The end of the spring 2020 semester being online made sense. But with each passing day of the fall semester, the argument became less and less sound. I feel for those kids who were stuck online for an entire year.
The report said 6 to 10 generations ago, which is pretty far removed, so I think it’s easy for people to get that mixed up. But it wasn’t just Trump and conservatives that lampooned her. “Using a DNA test to lay claim to any connection to the Cherokee Nation or any tribal nation, even vaguely, is inappropriate and…
It seems that some of the stories of the event have been exaggerated. For instance, one can watch the video and there were only a smattering of boos, which were quickly drowned out by applause. She was also applauded after she finished her speech. There are doesn’t seem to be any evidence John Wayne or anyone else…
Oh, I’ve seen the poster for that movie so many times. I always thought it was weird that James Bond was seemingly portraying a Native American so I never watched it. It all makes sense now.
Years ago when I first read about her appearance at the Oscars I could’ve sworn that articles indicated that it was later discovered that she was not in fact Native American. When she came back into the news recently there was no such mention so I figured I’d remembered incorrectly. Now I’m really not sure what to…
Maybe so, but it seems that the incident described likely didn’t happen.
If you watch the clip of her “acceptance” and speech there are only a handful of boos and they are almost immediately drowned out by applause. And when she finishes she only receives applause.
I’ve always heard that the amount requested doesn’t really matter. Ultimately it’s up to the jury to determine liability and the value of that liability. Although maybe the jury inferred ulterior motives based on the high value requested? I dunno.
I don’t know why, but I generally don’t find her to be believable in roles. I almost always feel like I’m watching Anne Hathaway try to act like someone else. As such, I tend to dislike her work.
Yeah, like Kinja
Well, this is concerning. Is it not? Why wouldn’t it be?
