@flashtut: Well what I've noticed is that with these things is that it's a bit more complicated than just that. Valve have shown their more than capable of rational thought so to say it''s because they don't like the system would be jumping to conclusions.

Hmm, here's how I see it. Bluray movies cost around 25 bucks. Their about 2 hours or alittle more long. Video games are pretty much around 8 hours to 12 houre long. $50 seems like the most reasonable price for a video game because your getting more with video games. More time and interactivity.
