It’s like you don’t understand physics.

A manpad would not take down a 747 in one shot. There would have been a distress call as it would have hit the engine or wing. The warhead would not have been large enough to do significant damage to a plane that size.

The only missile capable of taking down a 747 with one shot, and killing everyone on board, with one

c. There’s literally no evidence of shrapnel damage. Pics of the fuselage are available for everyone to see.

This is dumb. We don’t need more carriers. We have more than the rest of the world combined.

Wings are most definitely over designed and can handle much higher loads than they are rated for. The 777 wings can almost touch themselves end to end if you bend them enough.

The F-16 has replaced most of the A-10’s missions. The F-35 is a better ground attack aircraft than the F-16.

The F-16 beat a beta F-35 that was limited to 4gs and was only a WVR fight.

The tail doesn’t drop if the nose is removed, it would actually pitch up. If the wings and tail are still attached to what is left of the plane, it will continue up for a short period of time.

What missiles from where? Why didn’t these magic missiles leave any shrapnel damage? How did these missiles manage to destroy a 747 without the pilots sending a distress call?

Um, it would have been the front end of the plane, before the wing box. That’s not 50 percent of the plane. The wings, 70 percent of the fuselage, and the tail would have been intact.

that idiot ex-military guy website you linked suggested shoulder mounted SAMs. Which basically means he is a worthless hack.

A single shoulder mounted SAM couldn’t take down an airliner half the size of a 747. Two of them wouldn’t either. Plus IR missiles would target the engines. At worst two missiles take out two engines, a 747 can fly on 1. Plus the pilot would have had time to send a distress call.

THE only way a SAM takes down an

The tail landed miles away from the main wreckage. It was definitely ripped off first. Remember that chinese 747 did the same sort of erratic gain of altitude when it lost it’s tail section due to tail strike damage.

a) What motivation is there for shooting down TWA 800

In what reality does a SAM leave zero shrapnel damage? In what reality does a IR shoulder mounted SAM take down a 747 in one shot?

a) What motivation is there for shooting down TWA 800

If a plane is missing a horizontal stabilizer it would.

Holy shit, he thinks an IR shoulder mounted missile could take down a 747...

That site doesn’t answer my questions:
