I haven't seen it or read the reviews but I have to ask: why would Affleck take a role like that? Is he a masochist? The possibility of success was so slight, and of failure (with attendant ridicule) so likely. Surely he doesn't need the money. Couldn't he find a project he could succeed in, with his limited acting
