I can’t remember the last time I upgraded my CPU, but it has to be at least five years ago. I upgraded GPU 3 times since and every single game I owned runs decently. As long as the CPU is equivalent to an intel 5 they really dont make that much of an impact in day to day gaming.

$700 dollars for a console that can handle games at 4k is damn good deal. However, I’ll believe it when I see it. 4K resolution is even giving nvidia 1080's a hard time. So unless Microsoft found an alien starship and harvested their technology, there’s no way this is just hype.

On the one hand, I do miss those thick manuals games used to come packaged in the box. I remember the Falcon 4.0 manual, that thing was glorious. I used to use it as bathroom reading material.
