To be fair if you look at the equation “ ( power )/( mass * velocity ) = 1/2 * acceleration “ it is not exactly proportional.

And then people start blaming the organizers on how unsafe the whole thing is !

Hey on the bright side he didnt rebadge a toyota corolla as a Lexus !

Explain the “influential” and right now part ?

Brilliant, probably yes ! but not really influential right now

I know a lot of people with clean title, 100k+ plus Ap1 S2k that seem to run very well. The Buy it price is 13k so I doubt the car is actually be sold for under 10 grand

This ! Just ignore them, at best I gain 3-4 mins on a 30 min drive which is not a big deal really

Toyota’s absolute qualifying pace even slower than their’s 2104 car ! It is baffling

As much as I love the trio, it is truly disgusting that people are still talking about how BBC was wrong to fire him ! Come on people, we are better than this !

Good you had the 996 at Number 3 else I would have stopped reading the list earlier !

I should have worded it better. That’s kinda what I meant, sound good and respond well to throttle. All that torque and HP with a sad exhaust and throttle would be boring

This ! torque, hp blah blah but at end of the day you are spending so much time in the car that it better put a smile on your face with its music and easy revving nature. IMO torquey sluggish revving engines are probably fast and easier to drive by that does not equate to fun

280 hp, 2800ish pounds with a short ratio 6 speed gear box !
Why the short ratio you ask ? I believe much of the fun I get with a stick is shifting gears and with a lot of these ultra long 2nd/3rd gears you might as well being driving a automatic

And you the best part about the endurance racing this year ? All the factory teams are going 4 different ways to achieve speed. We couldn’t have any more unique cars than
1) turbo diesel hybrid with mechanical kers flywheel
2) Front wheel drive highly boosted v6
3)highly boosted V4 with E-turbos
4) Screaming NA v8

Amen to that ! I am actually in the market to get one and I kid you not but I've noticed a increase of almost 2 grand or more in the asking price of similar car/condition. I do hope my seller doesn't see these articles before I close the deal !!

Although 288 MPH is quite possible, I doubt the 2 second dash to 60. Anything under 2.3 seconds on street tires are going to be quite hard if not impossible without a completely new take on the road going tires
I remember the last car, the Nismo GTR that was touted to run 60 in 2 seconds ended being more like 2.5-2.9

I don't know, I think a big pickup screams Murica' than any other vehicle. The GT could very well pass for a European exotic but something like the Ford Raptor or a Ram Super heavy duty 3500 or even the big escalade cant be mistaken for any other !

Good point, I am foreign born and I can speak for bunch of my buddies who would own a luxury sedan over a SUV any day !
Personally I'd take a wagon but that's beside the point here

I guess you must have had experience with a bad group/ club. I run with some groups who take safety and passing by point very seriously ! Unless you do something stupid, the chances of crashing your car is not so common as you would imagine ( i.e as long as you know your & your car's limit)
